Who needs the Metro!
U.S. car giant General Motors has teamed up with Segway - the people who make those odd scooters - to create what they reckon will be the urban transport vehicle of the future. It's call PUMA (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessability) and it will run on an electric motor that will allow it to travel over 50 km on a single charge. It has a top speed of 56kph and can carry two people!
The makers say they will be able to fit it with technology which will allow PUMAs to "talk" to one another, which will allow better control of city traffic flow. All very well when there's only PUMAs on the road but would you want to argue with a 46A in one of these?? Have a look at this video and tell me what you think.
